This medication should be used orally with a full glass of water. When the first signs of a migraine appear, you should take this medication. It is not intended for regular usage. If you are also taking any of the following medications, you should not use this medicine: Do not use within 24 hours of consuming amphetamine, dextroamphetamine, or cocaine dihydroergotamine, ergotamine, ergoloid mesylates, methysergide, or any drug of the ergot type. Rizatriptan should not be used within two weeks of finishing a course of treatment with an MAOI such as Carbex, Eldepryl, Marplan, Nardil, or Parnate.
