The Heximar-B® ointment has two different active components that work well together: Psoriasis can be treated topically using calcipotriol, which is an analogue of the naturally occurring active metabolite of vitamin D3. This calcipotriol comes in the form of an ointment and has a wide spectrum of pharmacological action. Betamethasone dipropionate is a glucocorticosteroid that has local anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and immunosuppressive effects. It works by inhibiting the proliferation of keratinocytes, promoting the differentiation of the epidermis, and having a significant effect on cytokines and T-cells in the skin. Ointment has an impact on all linkages in the pathogenesis of psoriasis and produces a rapid response in the topical treatment of chronic plaque psoriasis, regardless of the severity of the condition; substance that has been authorized by the FDA and has excellent cosmetic features (odorless, colorless, and does not stain skin or clothing). Ointment for topical application is the form of the drug's release. 15 g Composition: each gram includes betamethasone dipropionate equal to betamethasone IP - 0.5 mg; calcipotriol anhydrous IP - 50 mcg; and on the ointment base - q.s. Psoriasis of the scalp in the acute stage; spotted, erythrodermic, exfoliative and pustular psoriasis; renal insufficiency or acute liver failure; viral lesions of the skin; fungal or bacterial skin infections; parasitic infections; cutaneous manifestations of tuberculosis; hypersensitivity to calcipotriol and any auxiliary component of the preparation; pregnancy and lactation; children up to age 18; diseases associated with impaired calcium Caution is advised in the following circumstances: hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, hypervitaminosis D, nephrolithiasis, and age above 65 are all risk factors for developing nephrolithiasis. The medication's potential for adverse effects The most common symptom is a local inflammation of the skin. Erythema and itching of the skin are typical symptoms.
